Thank you for interest in one of our Exterior Fireplaces.
Your exterior fireplace requires very little care.

CLEANING:
Because the fireplace is constructed from GFRC, a concrete product, and the color is CAST all the way through, you can clean the unit like you would other concrete surfaces.
* The fireplace can be hosed off to remove most of the dust.
* Before re-sealing or to remove stubborn stains, the entire fireplace should be thoroughly cleaned.
Use CLR, a concrete cleaner which can be purchased from Home Depot, and a nylon scrub brush, taking care to rise off the residue. Follow the instruction on the package!

RE-SEALING:
Your fireplace comes from the factory sealed with multiple coats of a non-glossy, penetrating concrete sealer. Application of a similar product semi-annually is recommended, however there is nothing that can protectagainst pollution and/or acid rain which could stain the finish.
For best results, perform during cooler AM/PM temperatures:
*Clean the entire fireplace with CLR (information above).
*Allow fireplace to dry completely.
*Apply masonry sealer to entire fireplace (a sponge works well for this application).

SCREEN:
If you have purchased a screen, although it has been powder-coated, it is still an iron product. During long periods of moisture, screens should be stored away from the elements. If areas of rust occur, they can be treated with any exterior rust-proof flat-black paint.
In freeze-thaw areas, the fireplace must be covered to keep the elements from collecting inside of the fireplace.

Our fireplaces are designed to utilized gas as the fuel source. Wood-burning will void the warranty.

All deliveries will be common carrier "Curbside Delivery"
"Curbside Delivery" provides delivery made to curb at the end of the driveway. It is not the driver’s responsibility to bring freight into house, garage, etc. Drivers do not assist with unpacking, set-up or clean up.

On occasion, any item being shipped motor freight may be subjected to freight mishandling and damage could occur. Our freight company requires that any damage be noted upon delivery to ensure a replacement at no cost.

If the shipment arrives with obvious damage, please note that on the Bill of Lading and unpack and inspect the entire shipment. If a broken part is discovered, please also notate the part on the Bill of Lading.

CJ's Home Decor & Fireplaces inspects your purchase before it leaves our warehouses. We do not ship damaged or defective products. Once your package(s) leaves our hands, the delivery company (ie: Fed Ex, R&L,Yellow etc.) assumes ALL responsibility for the safe delivery of your order. Once you sign for the delivery, you have released the delivery company from any and all responsibility for damage done during shipping of your order. So, when your order arrives, you should inspect ALL package(s) for signs of damage during shipment.

Inspect the package(s) for external damage, remove the packaging and inspect the contents for any physical damage in the presence of the delivery driver. If there is any damage, visible or not, you must indicate such on the delivery receipt. When you sign the delivery ticket and do not note any damage, the merchandise becomes your property. There are absolutely NO exceptions to this procedure. Unfortunately, all freight carriers are adamant about this and will not accept a claim for damage if you do not note any and all damage on the delivery receipt IN WRITING.

DO NOT feel rushed or pressured into signing until you have completed the inspection.

PLEASE take the time to inspect your delivery. IF THERE IS ANY DAMAGE BE SURE TO NOTE IT ON THE DELIVERY TICKET. If the damage is severe or excessive, please refuse the shipment and call us immediately at. If you sign of on it, it is yours. No exceptions!
